Robyn Kemp has spent the past three months in fight training for the independant film "Daft Queens", in which she plays the leader of a team of female assassins. Robyn can currently be seen in the independant film "Swing Vote- Which Side Are You On?", which premiered at the AOF International Film Festival. The film received three award nominations from the festival: Best Comedy Scene, Best Political Statement Movie, and ended up winning Best Female Film Maker Short.

She recently played the role of Mady in Bookends, a new musical by Katharine Houghton, Dianne Adams and James McDowell, which premiered at the New Jersey Repertory Company and was directed by Ken Jenkins from TV's "Scrubs". In November, she reprised her role in a staged reading of Bookends held for Broadway producers at the York Theatre in NYC.

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Robyn has delighted in making musical noise since her very beginning. She began piano lessons at the age of seven, studying with composer Jeff Manookian. In 1995, Robyn's composition Sonatina won 1st place at the National level of the MTNA Composition Competition and 1st place in the international Composer's Guild Competition. Before long, her musical interests began to expand and in junior high she picked up the oboe. She became a bona fide band geek- participating in various bands and youth symphonies. However, it was only once she became involved in theatre that she truly found her calling.

In 2001, Robyn enrolled in the B.F.A. program in Musical Theatre at the prestigious Boston Conservatory. While there, Robyn performed in numerous shows and was selected as a vocal soloist with the Boston POPS, in Boston's Symphony Hall. After graduating with honors, Robyn relocated to make her New York City debut as Miranda in The Tempest. Since then, she has played Sheila in Hair with Alaska's Perseverance Theatre and Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore with the Theatre at Monmouth. Other favorite roles include Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Julia in The Rivals, Alain in Talking With, and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof. She has also had the honor of soloing with the Pasadena Symphony, Utah Chamber Orchestra, and with the Utah Oratorio Society in the Mormon Tabernacle.

Robyn currently lives on the Upper West Side, takes scene study class with Karl Bury, and continues her classical vocal training with opera singer Doris Brunatti. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, backrubs, and drinking really good beer with her friends.
